Year Running: 2018/2019
Credit level: F7
Additional Information   This module is only available on the Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Competence.

Description

This module aims to provide students with an understanding of a systematic set of behavioural science concepts for analysing human behaviour in manufacturing/engineering organisations. The major theories in this area derive from psychology, sociology and anthropology; students will be expected to familiarise themselves with core concepts as directed. Further, the module provides the opportunity to relate these theoretical concepts to realistic organisational problems and to consider appropriate managerial responses. In this way, the module is designed to increase the ability to analyse behaviour, but also to develop the skill to draw on appropriate concepts to influence and manage others effectively.
